FAQ
1
Is it first come, first pup?
We will only take in a number of applicants for the puppies which is done by filling out the form. At the time for reserving a puppy at 4 weeks, an email will be sent out in which the families who contact with interest and send the deposits will reserve their spot for a puppy.
2
How do I reserve a puppy?
The deposit for reserving a puppy is $600, which is part of the full $3000.
We understand life happens, a refund of 50% is eligible within 14 days from the point the deposit was received or up until the puppies are 5 weeks old. After 5 weeks, no refund will be available.
The remaining amount owing for the puppy can be made in payments until the day of pick-up or paid in full at the time of pick-up by cash.
3
What will come with a puppy?
Each puppy will be dewormed as they grow, multiple vet checks (when they are first born and for their shots. If more vet checks are needed, we do not hesitate).
They will receive their vaccinations at 8 weeks in which our vet will provide a puppy passport showing all the vaccines they received and when the next round is needed. A collar (unless families state they do not need one), a blanket and toy that smells like mom and siblings. Along with a bag of food and copy of contract.
4
Do you ship the puppies?
No, we will not ship the puppies. There is an option of meeting at a location to help the travelling of the families picking up a puppy. If this is an option that may be needed, please let us know right away.
5
Why should we choose your puppies over another breeder?
With the rise in popularity for dogs mixed with poodles, the market is flooded with breeders offering puppies of all size, colour, generations and temperaments. What I can promise you is our love for our animals and for the breed; this comes with our saying “quality over quantity”.
What we do at Kootenay Mini Goldendoodles is:
-
The mom is put on high calorie diets during the appropriate time during pregnancy and once supplying milk for the pups, she is also checked over once all puppies are born to make sure no complications occurred.
-
Born in our home, they receive around the clock care.
-
We weigh them every day to make sure they are receiving adequate milk supply and if need be, rotate the puppies to the most filled nipples.
-
These puppies are introduced to high quality food we feed our own dogs.
-
We socialize them to people, animals and kids to start their lives as well-rounded puppies.
If you do choose one of our pups, please know we have done everything within our ability to care for, love and prepare these puppies for their new homes.
